SE MISSOURI ST REDHAWKS @ SC

A first meeting in Columbia

South Carolina and Southeast Missouri State are set for their first-ever meeting, with the Redhawks making their first road trip of the season to Colonial Life Arena.

SEMO’s early offense has been spread around

The Redhawks opened with five double-digit scorers against Lipscomb; Marqueas Bell then posted 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists against Webster.

Gamecocks showed efficient scoring in opener

South Carolina shot 51% from the field in its 81-55 win over Stetson, led by Juan Fernandez’s 20 points, with three other current-roster players reaching double figures.

Marcus Johnson’s availability is still a variable

Freshman guard Marcus Johnson missed the opener with a head and facial injury; South Carolina described him as day-to-day and said playing against SEMO was possible. His status could affect South Carolina’s guard rotation.

Pick Ideas

Angles drawn from the matchup analysis above and refreshed as the news changes. They are a separate read from the LineCrush pick for this matchup, so the two can land on different sides.

Wait for a posted market

The checked odds listings showed no spread, total, or moneyline; reassess once a book posts a price and compare it across markets.

Consider a live total rather than a blind pregame total

Use the opening possessions to judge pace and shot quality before considering a live total, and pass if the number already reflects what you are seeing.

Recheck the guard rotation before any side bet

Confirm South Carolina’s available guards before backing either side, and avoid paying a premium for an assumed lineup.
