VMI KEYDETS @ UTSA ROADRUNNERS

UTSA’s opening-half drought is the clearest adjustment point

UTSA’s opener at San José State featured a 2-for-15 stretch and a 17-2 deficit over the final five minutes before halftime, making half-court execution the clearest adjustment.

VMI arrives after a demanding Texas swing

VMI’s Thursday loss at SMU was its second game in three days and first road contest; TJ Johnson led with 19 points, while Rickey Bradley Jr. added 13.

VMI showed scoring depth in its opener

Five Keydets scored in double figures in VMI’s 115-83 season-opening win over Virginia University of Lynchburg, though the result came against a different level of opponent.

A rare matchup and UTSA’s home opener

Reassess after confirmed availability

If reliable lineup news arrives, compare it with the market rather than treating no official injury report as proof of universal availability.
