SOUTH CAROLINA ST BULLDOGS @ SOUTH CAROLINA UPSTATE SPARTANS

Bulldogs arrive with a strong opening statement

South Carolina State opened with a 94–55 win over Morris, with 12 Bulldogs scoring; the result came against a non-Division I opponent and is a limited measure of how they will fare against USC Upstate.

Upstate’s opener showed scoring potential—and a turnover concern

The Spartans shot 49.2% and had 19 assists in an 83–70 loss at East Carolina but committed 20 turnovers, making ball security a key test against a Bulldogs team that applied substantial defensive pressure in its opener.
